On Day 4, we said goodbye to the Fosters and set out on the remaining 157 miles to Angola, IN. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. We arrived mid-afternoon on the 10th and got to spend a few hours with Great Nana that afternoon/evening. We spent most of the 11th with her at her house and then a couple hours with her the morning of the 12th. The kids loved playing in her backyard – running around and playing with 2 big balls. (We also continued our tradition of at eating at Ruby Tuesday’s while visiting lol.) Great Nana was in great spirits and looked and acted just like she did 10 years ago (it’s truly remarkable; I hope Alicia and our kids have her genes!). Our time with Great Nana was precious for us and for her. She told us that us visiting was like Christmas in July 🙂 It was a very special few days and we’re so thankful for the time together! We hope we can come visit again soon.
